The Chirping Moms

Two Patriotic No-Bake Desserts

July 1, 2018

Memorial Day weekend kicks off in few days and 4th of July will be here before you know it. If you’re looking for fun, patriotic foods to add to your celebrations, we’ve got two to share today. They’re both easy, require no baking and include plenty of “red, white & blue”!

Patriotic Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches

Ingredients:

Chocolate chip cookies

Vanilla ice cream

Red and/or blue sprinkles

Directions:

Place a scoop of vanilla ice-cream in between two cookies, creating a mini ice cream sandwich. Sprinkle the red and/or blue sprinkles around the ice cream and serve. You can also store in the freezer until it’s time to enjoy them at your Memorial Day or 4th of July BBQ!

Patriotic Marshmallow Pops

Ingredients:

Paper straws

Marshmallows

White chocolate chips

Red and/or blue sprinkles

Wax paper

Directions:

Stick a paper straw into each marshmallow. Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave or with a double boiler. Holding the paper straw, dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate. When you dip them, cover about 1/2 the marshmallow in chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off, let cool for a few seconds and then dip into sprinkles. Transfer to the wax paper. When I am done, I like letting them sit in the refrigerator for a while before serving. Enjoy!
