Two Under Two In Diapers: Our Diaper of Choice

August 21, 2019

By: Kristin Orr

This post is sponsored by Pampers.

As a mom of two under two, the one item I could possibly not live without is diapers. Even when I tell people about having a newborn plus an 18 month old, most responses are something along the lines of, “Well, it’s hard. But at least they’ll be in diapers at the same time!” Never have truer words been spoken – which is why I have always selected Pampers and never any other brand.

Before my first was born, I had no idea the vast selection of diapers on the market but I did know about Pampers. I didn’t think of using any other brand because I was just going based on what I thought was “most popular” and everyone (even my husband!) knows about Pampers. Once I got my son into his first Pampers Swaddlers, I instantly knew why they were so well-known. These diapers are the #1 Choice of Hospitals, Nurses & Parents*. Most moms I know come home from the hospital overflowing with tiny newborn Pampers and in my village of moms, we’re quick to share when our littles grow out of them and move to the next Swaddlers size.

Aside from that, I find Pampers Swaddlers to be so soft. The Heart Quilts liner is 2x softer** against the baby’s delicate skin and you can tell just by feeling it. Even as my son has started to get older and transitioned from crawling to walking, I haven’t had to change diapers. The soft, stretchy sides helps the diaper stay in place and flex with the movement of the baby.

I feel confident that his diaper isn’t going anywhere despite how wild he can be in it! They’re so sturdy that in recent hot summer days I’ll let my little guy go “pants-free,” knowing that his diaper is protection enough. My favorite feature of the Pampers Swaddlers is the Wetness Indicator. The yellow line that goes down the front of the diaper will turn blue when baby needs to be changed. This is a great tool, especially when baby is in a full onesie – just unsnap the bottom and take a quick peek at the line. Pampers Swaddlers also offers 12 hours of protection, and it’s passed the test of overnight sleepers in my house. My little guy sleeps from 6pm-6am without any incident! Luckily, with Pampers, accidents are few and far between and I never have to wake a sleepy baby to change his or her diaper.

When my daughter was born there was no point in changing up my diaper inventory – I was going with what has worked for my family for the past 18 months. Pampers hasn’t let me down yet and has so far been a great fit for my daughter. Having two in diapers now is a whole new experience. We are always stocking up, always checking sizes, and always have them handy. When friends ask what they can bring when coming to visit the new baby, I always say “Pampers Swaddlers!” When friends without babies ask what to gift others with newborns, I say the same – diapers!

When friends are creating registries and ask what to put on it, I will tell them diapers and more diapers… and if you are unsure of other things, just register for some stuff, return whatever items you are not in love with, and get DIAPERS! Although diapers aren’t the most fun gift to give, they’re the most practical and necessary of all baby items. A cute outfit is fun, but a baby running around in a tiny Pampers is even cuter! Since I will inevitably be buying diapers for the greater part of half a decade, I am confident in sticking with Pampers in meeting all my baby’s needs.
