Valentine’s Day Ideas for Tweens

February 10, 2021

My goal this year is to share more “tween” content. I’ve got plenty of preschool & toddler content on the blog but big kids enjoy crafts, books & parties too! So today I am sharing a bunch of fun Valentine’s Day ideas for tweens. Whether they want to craft, make gifts for friends or you’re looking for a cute little gift to surprise them with…. we’ve got tweens covered!

Valentine’s Day Ideas for Tweens

♥️ Valentine Craft Idea: Twine Letter Bracelets

These are so easy and all you need is a pack of square letter beads & a roll of twine. My girls have been really into making bracelets this year I was trying to think of something just a little different for them to make friends for Valentine’s Day. We love how these came out!

♥️ Valentine Activity: Ombre Valentine Nails

We did white, light pink, pink, dark pink & red. We are loving Piggy Paint.  Have you ever tried it? Totally safe and works well too. If you don’t have any Piggy Paint it makes a great little Valentine surprise!

Another fun way to use nail polish at Valentine’s Day is to give it out. My friend Tobey has the cutest free printable Valentines and has one that says “you nailed it Valentine” with a picture of nail polish. It would be so cute to print and attach to a bottle of nail polish for Valentine’s Day. Click here to visit her on Instagram and all of her printables are in the link in her profile.

♥️ 3 Fun Tween Valentines to give friends

1. A fun tween Valentine to pass to friends are face masks! They seem to be all the rage lately and what a fun way to treat your “galentine” because who doesn’t love a little spa treatment?!

We got 7th Heaven face masks (you can find on Amazon) because I like that they’re natural, vegan, cruelty free etc for the tweens. Then we attached these adorable printables I bought and downloaded from Sprinkle of Whimsy.

2. Another cute idea is filling little canvas heart bags from Target. They are inexpensive and can be filled with candy but then reused for jewelry, small toys, etc.

3. Emoji Heart Eye Valentines: I made these last year when Maggie had some girlfriends over on Valentine’s Day. It was a last minute idea that I thought 9 & 10 year old girls would appreciate.
They loved them!
All you need: yellow & black paper, tape and red foil wrapped chocolate hearts ♥️
How to: For the circle I traced a cereal bowl and cut them out. I cut out the mouth from the black paper and taped it on. Then I used tape to add the chocolate hears for eyes.

Pin this tween post for later!
