Where to Wednesday: Exciting Summer at the Zoo #NYisWild

April 9, 2015

There are many exciting things to do in New York City. One of my favorite things as a child, was visiting the Bronx Zoo. Now that my girls are “wild” about animals, I can’t wait to take them too.

This summer, the Bronx Zoo has a really fun contest taking place. The zoo is going to turn New York City into a city-wide social photo safari by inviting people to learn about “120 Ways #NYisWild.”

Zoo guests are invited to share their in-park photos using the hashtag #NYisWild. The more photos they take and share, the more chances they have to win. There are some great prizes, including a special Grand Prize trip to Belize. You can also increases your chances to win by hitting certain milestones. For example: escape for 2 to Belize for completing 10/120 or Whale Watching Tour for 4 With WCS Scientists for completing 50/120. The contest runs from April to August and participants can capture each attraction using Instagram or Twitter with #NYisWild and also hashtagging the number of the clue (ex: #NYisWild, #84). Keep track of your progress on NYisWild.com.

Why 120 ways? The “120” part of the contest acknowledges and celebrates 120 years of conservation since the founding of this organization. 100 of the 120 ways take place in Wildlife Conservative Society parks: Bronx Zoo, the New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo & Queens Zoo.

#NYisWild is a great way for families to spend a day out in New York City! There is an exclusive discount for 20% off all tickets purchased only through NYisWild.com.

Reading an article you reminded me my trip to the Bronx Zoo. I have visited there last summer vacations wit my daughter before my chinatown bus to niagara falls from nyc . It has 6,000 animals and considered as the New York largest zoo. Where my daughter like to see the Big Bear, Mouse House.
