31 Days of Dinners: A Menu Plan for the Whole Month

January 6, 2015

One of my goals for the year is to be much more intentional about getting healthier homemade dinners on the table for the family.  I find that planning the meals out each week takes a lot of time, so I am trying something new where I plan out the menu for the month at one time.  Most of these recipes don’t require a lot of prep or a large chunk of time to cook, as I am often cooking with three little kids under foot.  I was telling my sister about it the other day & she wanted me to forward my full menu plan on to her so I decided just to create a menu to share!  So today, I am trying to help out my fellow non-planners & give you a full meal plan for the month!  You can modify as needed based on what is in your pantry, what is on sale at the store, & what you have planned for the week but no more searching cookbooks & Pinterest every night for something to make for dinner!  Here’s my monthly menu to share & read below on how to print:

Here are some links to the recipes that I will be using this month:

  • Sausage & Kale Soup
  • Find my favorite pizza dough here (made in a bread machine)
  • Shrimp Scampi
  • French Dip
  • Baked Chicken
  • Another favorite recipe: Rachel Ray Spaghetti & Meatballs
  • Minestrone Soup
  • Hamburger Goulash from Southern Plate
  • Stuffed Peppers
  • Cheesy Lentil Macaroni from Don’t Waste the Crumbs
  • White Chicken Chili
  • Stromboli
  • Modify this favorite recipe slightly for Sausage & Peppers Pasta
  • Mini Meatloaves
  • Butternut Squash Soup

Also, make sure to follow our newly created Menu Planning board where we feature all of the recipes in the post as well as some of our favorites!

I would LOVE to hear some feedback & ideas for me to include in the February menu.

Here’s to less-stress, but delicious, cooking!

This is such a great resource for busy moms, Julie! Pinned!

I hope that you and the kids had fun in the snow today. Just a couple of hours south and we didn't get anything (but I'm not complaining!). 🙂

Easiest dinner – chicken ( I use bone-in with skin thighs but you could use anything) and 1 jar of salsa verde in the crockpot for 8-12 hours on low. Cook up some rice and peas and voila! Chicken falls off the bone, delicious.
