A Peek Inside My Beach Bag & This Week’s Giveaway

July 22, 2013

A couple week’s ago, Julie shared a great list of her beach essentials. This week, i’m giving a peak inside my beach bag & sharing my favorites for the pool & beach.

1. Old Navy Perforated Slip Ons

These are great for the beach & playing outside. Both girls have a pair. They stay on really well & you can’t beat the price: $9 right now

2. i play Solid Flap Sun Hat

I’ve been using this style hat from i play since Maggie was 3 months old. You can adjust the head size & tie it under the neck too. It’s the only hat that stays on/ my kids don’t pull off. I also like the long neck flap, for more coverage. The i play Solid Flap Sun Hat comes in many colors & is made from a great, UV protective, light material for hot days. Also, it has a wickaway lining to draw moisture away & keep your little one’s head dry (enter to win an i play hat below).

3. Pottery Barn Kids Klean Kanteen

Lot’s of water is important for a day at the beach. This is our favorite water bottle. They are currently on sale for $10.

4. Honest Kids Juice Pouches

These pouches are sweetened only with fruit juice, not sugar. My kids love the apple & my husband &

I love the other flavors!

5. Dolphin Organics Sunscreen

We use the 32 & the 50. Both offer great protection & great ingredients too.

6. Land’s End Rash Guards

I think it’s tough finding rash guards for girls. I love the ones from Land’s End. There are both long & short sleeve options & the colors are great. The price is great too: $10-15.

7. Snapping Turtle Kids Bathing Suits

The bottom of these suits have snaps for easy diaper changes on the beach. They come in beautiful, bright patterns!

8. Melissa & Doug Sand Toys

These are some well made beach toys! My kids love digging for & collecting sand crabs in their buckets. We also love digging holes & burying our legs in the sand to become mermaids. These are good shovels for parents too, because, as we all know, we’re the ones doing most of the work when building sandcastles! Right now all Melissa & Doug beach toys are buy 1, get 1 50% off at Yoyo.com.

Now for the giveaway!

We’re excited that this week we’re teaming up with i play to give away a Solid Flap Sun Hat, one of my favorite summer essentials. The winner can select the color & size of their choice.

We were not compensated for this post. We did receive a hat from i play. As always, all opinions are our own.

The Old Navy slip ons are so cute and practical, and I know my son would be all over the sand toys! As for the hat and sunscreen, I'm loving them. I've been buying the "good ingredients" sunscreen this summer and feel so much better about it since they wear so much of it!
