All About Organization Week!!—Starting with a Menu Plan Monday

October 15, 2012

This week is ALL ABOUT ORGANIZATION!

We have some great giveaways, simple organizational tips, and an easy DIY craft that will help keep you organized.  And not only is this post about us sharing a few tips to help keep you neat and tidy, we would LOVE some feedback in our comments with some great tips that work for you!  You all know that as busy mamas with little kids, it is no easy feat to stay organized with school papers coming in, toys strewn about, and objects being pulled out of their places ALL day long!  So make sure to check back all week to join us in our mode to get organized…

One way that I have been working on getting more organized is by making a menu plan for the week.  Menu planning helps make my grocery shopping more efficient and cuts down on time spent pondering about what is for dinner—although I admit, some nights I still resort to chicken nuggets, pancakes and bacon, or mac and cheese!  But I try hard to get a somewhat healthy homemade meal to my family most nights.

So without further ado…here’s my Menu Plan for this week!

Now, what’s on your menu this week?  We are always looking for some easy dinner ideas, please share with us!  And check back in the morning for a new organizational product that The Chirping Moms are loving in their house!!!!!

I was just thinking I need to get back into meal planning. This post made me determined to do it! I just haven't got into a good routine with the two kids and cooking dinner. But I think having a plan will actually help make it easier each night.

Chocolate chip pancakes– yum!! I love that you have a whatever night too… it's nice to have one of those to use up leftovers or let everyone choose something easy. Thanks for linking up!

I never menu plan, and I need too! Things always seem to work out better when I am organized. All the best – Monica

I usually look at the grocery circulars and see what kind of meat/fish is on sale that week and plan my menu around it!! Saves $$$ and I keep organized! Great series this week!

Just today as we went out to dinner – I thought I really want to get back on the cooking train. I love to cook, I love to bake and I love to eat healthier!

I am thinking – pretzel crusted pork chops with brocolli rice pilaf for monday, taco tuesday, spagetti wednesday, Thursday turkey/avocado panini's and friday – sunday we are camping 🙂

You're the second person to include chili. I think that might go on the plan for next week for me.

    Great plan!

Hi Julie, I’m Anne from Life on the Funny Farm (http://annesfunnyfarm.blogspot.com), and I’m visiting from the Naptime Review.

I couldn't agree more, menu planning is half the battle with organization! Nothing worse than realizing it's 5:00 and you don't know what on earth you're making for dinner and you don't even have anything defrosted! Thanks for the tips…

Anyway, it’s nice to “meet” you! Hope you can pop by my blog sometime to say hi…

I could not survive the week without menu planning! I also use one morning a week to do a bunch of meal prep while the kids are at school. Helps in those afternoons when you just can't get a minute to cook in peace. Looking forward to the rest of the weeks topics.

I'm sure you two really blessed a lot of mamas with organization week. How many people would rather NOT learn to be organized? Case in point 😉 Thanks for linking up with me this week, Julie and Courtney.
