My first is going to kindergarten this year so I don't have any secrets – yet. But I'd love to hear some!

I start transitioning to an earlier bedtime a week before school starts until we are back on our normal bedtime schedule.

I love this giveaway! This will be our first year in Kindergarten, but what has always helped us in preschool is just to simply stay organized. I make sure to look through Dylan's bag first thing when we get home to address anything I need to do or to do his homework. It seems to work better than putting it off and doing it last minute!

Early bedtimes seem to help at the beginning.

We have always done a special activity with the kids the day/night before school starts to give them one last summer fun day before going back to the grind.

A good calendar system keeps this family of 6 (2 working parents, 4 school aged kids) all on the same page! We use Cozi (www.Cozi.com) and have a weekly family meeting.

This is our first year in school (aside from preschool). These tips were great. I am looking for a good "night before school starts" tradition to start. Any ideas?

Buy things ahead of time. Waiting till the last minute, even if trying to wait for a sale just puts too much stress on you and you will always forget something.

My favorite back-to-school secret for success is to use the summer to keep learning alive for my kids. I feel like this helps them be prepared and excited for school!
