Personalized Art For Shared Spaces: Henry James Paper Goods

December 13, 2012

Both Julie & I are both in the process of creating “shared spaces” for our kids. We’ll be posting a bunch in the upcoming months: both on the design & how it goes when the kids actually start sharing rooms. For Julie, her boys will begin sharing a bedroom soon, as baby #3 will be arriving at their house in March!

At my house, we are just about done creating the girls “big girl” room, but we’ll wait until Alex starts trying to “escape” her crib before we actually move her into her future bed.

I received a lot of help from a wonderful woman at The Land of Nod (plenty more info on this to come), and one thing she recommended was that in a shared space, it’s important to make sure each of the kids have a little of their own personality & own space. She recommended something personalized or an initial. That’s right around the time I found Henry James Paper Goods on Etsy. I love all of her designs. It actually took me a long time to decide on which prints to pick! I love what she made for Maggie & Alex’s room. My girls both love birds (& all animals), so I thought they would love these prints.

Julie’s boys love penguins, so when she spotted these prints, she knew they had to be a part of Aiden & Andrew’s new room.

Henry James Paper Goods features personalized art prints for children, nursery art for newborns, and illustrations for the home. They are printed with super heavyweight and archival Velvet fine art paper and Ultrachrome inks to last a lifetime. Kadie, the “mom” behind Henry James Paper Goods, can also create custom illustrations using your phrase, colors, or animals of choice. She also does wedding invitations, birth announcements & cards. Be sure to follow along with her on Facebook too.

A few of my other favorites from the shop:

Julie & I are so happy we found Henry James Paper Goods. These prints will help add a personal spot for each of our little ones in their “big kid” rooms!

these are great ideas!! I was just saw another cool idea- scrabble letters from nordstrom. You can spell out the kids names and prop them up on a shelf or something cute.
