Our Favorite Character Meal in Disney World: Ravello’s Breakfast with Goofy & Pals

November 25, 2015

We’ve taken the kids to Disney World twice now and we really enjoy character meals. Maggie and Alex were 2 & 4 the first time we went and 4 & 5 1/2 during our most recent trip. They are more interested in characters than rides so the character meals provide a great setting, with no lines, for them to meet their Disney pals. We’ve attended quite a meals few and have never enjoyed one as much as the Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals at Ravello. Months later, we are still laughing about Goofy being so silly in all of our photos.

Ravello is located at the Four Seasons Orlando. The restaurant hosts Breakfast with Goofy & Pals on Thursdays, Saturdays and some Tuesdays. Here are 5 reasons this is our favorite character meal:

1. The Characters:

There aren’t too many places to hang out with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy all together at a meal. These are 3 characters no kid wants to miss, so seeing them all at breakfast, with no lines is awesome. The characters come and spend 1 on 1 time with each child, pose for tons of photos and Goofy’s antics are hysterical. Of our entire trip to Disney World, and seeing tons of characters, my girls said the best part was Mickey, Minnie and Goofy at breakfast. They especially loved Minnie’s sunglasses and I got a kick out of Mickey’s resort wear!

2. The Food:

I’ve eaten many meals at Disney World and the breakfast at Ravello was hands down the best meal I’ve had. The breakfast is outstanding with fresh, delicious options for the entire family. The buffet features a wonderful assortment of traditional breakfast offerings along with an omelette station, charcuterie, an assortment of fresh breads and homemade jams, and a children’s buffet. Here’s the amazing part: the meal at Ravello is a step above all the other food I’ve eaten at character meals but for the same/ less than the cost of others we’ve tried. You won’t be disappointed with this meal!

3. The Photos:

If you’ve been to Disney World, you are probably familiar with their Photo Pass (if not read here). After the trip, you have the option of ordering photos (or ordering the whole package ahead of time). The photos taken at Ravello are INCLUDED in the cost of the meal. To give you an idea of what a great perk this is: I spent $45 on photos from our princess dinner at another restaurant and $0 on photos from our Goofy & Pals Breakfast and got triple the amount of amazing photos. Plus, being that I was on vacation with just the kids, there are not too many photos with me in them. It was fun to have someone else take photos at Ravello while I enjoyed a fun meal with my girls.

4. The Relaxing Atmosphere:

When you step onto the Four Seasons Orlando property, you feel an immediate transformation from the wild and fun Disney experience to a relaxation resort feel. Their property is still fun but for me it’s a breath of calm, refreshing air compared to many other places. My kids love Disney but also get easily overwhelmed. The character meals are a blast everywhere, but the noise and excitement can be too much for some kids (and adults) after a while. Ravello is tucked into the serene resort (actually close to their very relaxing spa) and although it’s a fun, memorable meal for kids with characters, it has a more relaxed feel.

5. The Laughs and Fun:

Yes, Ravello and the Four Seasons Orlando provide a relaxing experience, but the Goofy & Pals Breakfast is also a ton of fun. The characters are silly, the food is delicious and the meal kicks off with a song and dance. Then throughout the meal, the characters lead the families in a fun song that includes twirling and tossing your napkins in the air!

Our experience at the Goofy & Pals Breakfast at Ravello was truly magical. It was a highlight of our trip and a return visit will be a must on future trips to Disney World. I highly recommend this character meal to families with children of all ages.
