We love making handprint and footprint crafts for different seasons and holidays. I was trying to think of a winter handprint or footprint craft to make last week and remembered a fun alternative: a fingerprint snowman.

A few years ago I made these little finger print snowmen with my daughter and I still have the magnet. I wanted to make something a little different and my boys love snow globes. So we made paper snow globes and put their cute little fingerprints inside to make snowmen.

This craft is a lot of fun and you can make it “take longer” by having the kids cut out the pieces for the snow globe. Also, if you don’t have glitter or prefer to keep glitter far away from your house haha (I usually do too!) you can skip that step.

Snowman Fingerprint Snow Globe Craft

Supplies:

  1. grey or white paper, another color paper
  2. white paint
  3. glitter
  4. black, orange and brown markers
  5. glue

Directions: Cut a large circle out of the grey/ white paper. I traced a plate. Cut out a “base” for the snow globe out of the other color paper. Have the child finger paint snow by making lots of finger prints along the bottom half of the circle. Then stack 3 finger prints in a row to create snowmen. Once dry, draw a face, arms, etc on each snowman with markers. Glue the “globe” to the paper base. Last spread some glue around the snow globe and sprinkle on some glitter.

Pin this snowman finger print craft post for later!
