Whether you’re throwing a unicorn birthday party or just looking for a fun activity for rainbow and unicorn loving kids, this easy craft is a must. You can switch it up based on the ages of the kids too. My girls are 6 and 8 and can make this version on their own. For younger kids, you can skip the hole punch and tying of the yarn and let them glue it on instead. Also for a birthday party, I suggest cutting everything out ahead of time and punching the holes in the paper plate. Then give each child a paper plate with all of the supplies needed. This will make it even easier!

Unicorn Paper Plate Craft

Unicorn Supplies:

1. paper Plate
2. rainbow colored yarn (I just picked whatever was cheapest at Micheal’s Crafts)
3. large google eyes (or let them draw on the eyes to save $)
4. glitter paper (I found in the scrap book paper aisle of Micheal’s)
5. markers
6. glue
7. hole puncher
8. scissors

Unicorn Paper Plate Directions:

Punch holes on the top half of the paper plate. Cut yarn into about 1ft long pieces. Our yarn was pretty thin, so we did 3 strings per hole. Thread them through and knot. Then, use scissors to give the unicorn some bangs. This was actually my kids favorite part ha! Next, glue on the eyes (or draw eyes) and draw the nose. Last, cut a unicorn horn out of the glitter paper and glue it to the back. Now your unicorn is ready for adventure or to enjoy the unicorn birthday party if it’s a party craft!
