Where to Wednesday: A Lovely Holiday Kick Off With Momtrends

November 20, 2013

Leave it to the fabulous team from Momtrends to get the holiday season started right! Last week they hosted their annual holiday party: Holiday Entertaining with Momtrends. It was a great event & I am officially ready to kick off the holidays. The event took place at the Roberta Freymann store in New York City. It was an awesome location for a party & made for some fun shopping while mingling.

When you entered the event, you had an opportunity to donate coats to Baby Buggy, an organization that helps families in need. This is one of my favorite organizations, so it was a special experience to kick off the holiday season by joining other bloggers in donating coats.

We enjoyed Anna de Codorniu champagne, which is a perfectly priced beverage to bring along to holiday parties.

There were also yummy smoothies to try thanks to Welch’s. I’ve always drank Welch’s juice, but never knew they have a line of frozen, make at home, smoothies & ice pops. My kids are loving the ice pops.

They showed a cute way to serve the smoothies for the holidays.

The team from Teleflora came & decorated the space with some festive wreathes & flower arrangments. Then, they were on hand to give tips on decorating for the holidays. They said the most important places to decorate: the front door, the mantel & the dinning room table.

If you are on the hunt for a Santa Suit, check out this St. Nick dressed from head to toe in Fruit of the Loom!

I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by the team from GlamSquad. If you live in New York City, you have to check this company out. They come to your home (in short notice) to do your hair! It’s like ordering a pizza, but instead you order an awesome hair style. I have such a tough time getting ready/ trying to do my hair for holiday parties. I am usually holding a toddler in one hand & brushing my hair with the other. GlamSquad is a life saver when it comes to getting your hair to look good! Here’s GlamSquad styling our friend Destiny’s hair (from Suburban Wife, City Life).

Last but not least, what would a holiday party be without some Cabot cheese?

Now that i’m officially in the holiday planning mode, keep an eye out for many holiday recipe, DIY gifts, decorating & kid’s craft posts!
