Summer Activity: Host A Backyard Tea Party

July 24, 2013

Last week we had quite the heat wave in New Jersey. We’re lucky that our yard stays pretty shady until about noon. We decided to host a morning play date with some friends. We were selected to host a Cadbury High Tea Party, & decided to try & come up with some fun ways to make a tea party into an outdoor summer play date. Here’s a recap of our exciting morning:

We used nice, cold ice water as tea. The kids had so much fun pouring each other tea, drinking some & making quite the watery mess!

Next to our tea party set up, we had our darling selection of hats & hair pieces. The girls looked like they were ready to go from “high tea” to a royal wedding! We added some of our dress up jewelry to the pile, so the girls could be extra fancy.

When they weren’t enjoying their tea, the kids could run around in the sprinkler, splash in the baby pool or play at the water tables. It was a very hot morning, so lots of water was key.

To eat, the kids enjoyed:

As part of our party kit, we received 4 different Cadbury ice cream bar flavors: Cadbury Vanilla Chocolate, Cadbury Royal Dark, Cadbury Caramello & Cadbury English Toffee.

We had so much fun hosting “High Tea” & everyone (even the moms) enjoyed all of the ice cream!

I was not compensated for this post, however I received a party kit, as part of a promotional program with Cadbury and MomSelect. As always, all opinions are my own.
