Over the years, we’ve tried a few meal kits and fresh food delivery subscriptions. It’s convenient and helps keep a delicious variety at our dinner table. When Teddy was getting ready to start solids, I heard of Yumi baby food. Yumi is a fresh, organic baby food that’s delivered weekly. If we enjoyed fresh food delivered four our own dinner, maybe this was a fun way to introduce foods to a baby!?

I try my best to introduce all different foods and flavors when my kids start solids. We pass (safe) foods from our plate to their tray and love watching them try new things. I loved all of the great flavors and combos when I browsed the Yumi site. That, combined with the convenience of having it delivered, made me really want to check it out. As much as I wanted to make sure I was giving Teddy a variety of great, fresh, baby food…. he’s baby #5 in a house full of: work from home, virtual learning, preschool schedule craziness where the kitchen is constantly churning out meals. So convenience is key!

Yumi Baby Food

We first started Yumi when Teddy was 6 months and tried the “single ingredient” foods. I loved everything about the first order, right down to the packaging. We save the jars and use them for all different things (Lego storage for the big kids, craft projects, etc). Teddy gobbled them up at every meal.

Then he moved along to the mashables. These flavors are amazing. I may or may not try a taste of each one to see 😉

Yumi Finger Foods

Teddy likes being able to pick up foods. Like my last 2 babies, we like to do a little “baby led weaning” with Teddy. He watches 4 big siblings eat and likes to be able to pick up foods himself. So along with our “mashables” I add finger foods to our orders now.

I waited for a couple of orders before recommending Yumi so I could make sure to give a good, honest review. This is my 5th time around giving jarred baby food and the 3rd time doing a combo of baby led weaning with jarred food. I can honestly say I wish Yumi was around for all of my kids. It’s convenient, healthy and Teddy loves mealtime.

Be sure to check out their seasonal flavors and chef collaborations. It’s so cool to see all of the flavors they come up with! And keep an eye on our Instagram where I’ll be sure to share some of our favorite Yumi foods and some of the crafts we make with the jars.

Pin this baby food post for later!
