Christmas Footprint Craft: Santa’s Eight Reindeer

December 19, 2018

Every year I make a handprint or footprint craft with my kids. I have been doing it for many years and as the kids grow and our family grows, I try to get more creative and think of new ideas for our annual craft. This year I wanted to do Christmas footprint craft and thought about revisiting our reindeer footprints. I did this many years ago when Maggie was just about 2. I was trying to think of a way to switch it up and to also fit all four children’s feet on a canvas. Then… I realized 4 kids = 8 feet. So this year we made Santa’s 8 reindeer!

Supplies: canvas or long paper, brown paint, 16 google eyes, 8 red pom poms, black sharpie, gold sharpie (optional)

Directions: I used a long, narrow canvas that I spotted at the craft store. I thought it would look cute with all the feet and also be a great size canvas to display. Then we made their 8 footprints using brown paint. I drew on the antlers once it was dry and added the google eyes and pom pom noses. Then I wrote the names of the reindeer under each foot. This was so fun and my kids all really got a kick out of it!
