We first made this easy rainbow craft for kids when trying to come up with something for a class St. Patrick’s Day party. I wanted a craft that the kids could bring home and display all spring and thought a rainbow craft was in the St. Patrick’s Day theme but also bright and fun for spring. The 1st graders had fun making these at their party and needed very little help. I also let my 3.5 year old make one and helped him out more. We now have a few of these hanging in our kitchen and they are really so cute. Here’s how to make this easy rainbow craft:

Easy Rainbow Craft

Rainbow Craft Supplies:

Scissors
Glue
Cotton balls
White paper
Colored paper (the colors of the rainbow!)

Here’s a fun “how to” video for kids to watch and make the craft themselves:

Rainbow Craft Directions:

1. Cut strips of colored paper
2. Cut a circle out of white paper
3. Glue strips to the white paper
4. Flip over and glue cotton balls to the other side
5. Hang up your beautiful rainbow!
