March 3, 2019

By: Ali McNulty

It’s almost time for St. Patrick’s Day! Here are some fun St. Patrick’s Day activities for kids. We have festive crafts, snacks and games for all your little leprechauns.

St. Patrick’s Day Crafts

Leprechaun hats

(I would suggest gluing the craft stick hats together ahead of time so you don’t have to wait for the glue to dry; this way the kids can get painting.  You can also use glue dots which will keep the stick in place pretty well from the start and don’t have to wait to paint)
Handprint Leprechauns

(We made this a few years back and it’s still one of my favorites)

St. Patrick’s Day Snacks

Gold Oreos

(I have been making these for class parties and Saint Patrick’s Day playdates for years! Always a hit)
Bell Pepper Shamrocks

(Especially fun and easy for toddlers & preschoolers)

St. Patrick’s Day Games

Shamrock Balance Beam

(A fun–and great sensory–activity!  You can make a shamrock balance beam or a shamrock path all around the classroom!  Maybe even leave a pot of gold at the end of the trail ;))
Musical Shamrocks

(A fun Saint Patty’s Day twist on musical chairs)
