Minted Valentine’s Day: Parties, Gifts & Classroom Valentines

February 11, 2018

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. It wasn’t always my favorite but with little kids, a holiday all about love, is something extra special. It’s a time to talk about kindness, love and sending cards to people to show you care. They get excited to pick out cards for school and family members. I get excited to pick out a Valentine for each of my kids and to decorate with red and pink. Valentine’s Day is also one of my favorite times to throw a party. Today I’m sharing all of my Minted Valentine’s Day favorites and how I used the site for all different Valentines this year.

Classroom Valentines from Minted:

Minted always has so many adorable classroom Valentines. You can easily customize them and they come with cute little envelopes to put them in. You can sort by theme to help your kids browse for a favorite design from categories like food, sports, animals and mermaids. There are also fun options you can add to the back like little games or the child’s photo. I never thought of adding a child’s photo to a classroom Valentine but then a fellow preschool mom pointed out it’s an easy way for kids that can’t read yet to know who the Valentine is from – genius! This year my daughter spotted a taco themed classroom Valentine and tacos are her #1 favorite meal. She is so excited to give these out to her friends.

Special Valentine’s Day Gifts

Minted has so many special Valentine’s Day gifts you can order. There are really pretty art prints you can customize and plenty of cool photo gift options. If you used Minted for your holiday cards, you probably already have photos in your account that you can easily turn into photo gifts. I always tell my kids “I love you so”. When I saw Minted had an art print that said this, I thought it would be a special gift to give them that we can take out every Valentine’s Day. Then I saw that you could customize it and I added a note at the bottom for them. I chose to order it already framed so it was ready to go when it arrived. I love how it came out! I ordered another heart print to go with it. Minted even has Valentine’s day wrapping paper to wrap your gifts. I’ve used this heart wrapping paper for gifts and as a party table cover.

Valentine’s Day Party Planning

I throw a Valentine’s Day party almost every year. For years it’s been a kids party. We’ve had play group Valentine’s Day parties, kids chocolate making parties, kids card making parties, etc. This year I decided to throw a party for Moms instead.

I recently heard about Galentine’s Day – the day before Valentine’s Day where you celebrate with your best gals. I love the idea and there are so many “gals” in my town that make being a mom so much fun. So this year my Valentine’s Day party is when the kids are at school. It’s a brunch with Valentines decor, coffee, mimosas and breakfast treats. Minted has so many cute Valentine’e Day party supplies. I found these fun little signs for our drink area plus Valentine wine glass tags!

One of my go-to Minted party planning tips is to order their plain white plates, cups and napkins and add their stickers to customize per your theme. Then there’s no waste – you can always use the extra paper products for the next party because they are plain. I did this for Miles’ 1st birthday last year and have stuck with it. For this party, I just ordered some Minted heart stickers to add to the plates and coffee cups.

Happy Valentine’s Day! How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day this year?
