10 Gift Ideas for Mom

April 5, 2023

This month is my birthday so I have gifts on my mind and decided to get my Mother’s Day gift guide out early for once. This year I’ve broken it down to 10 gift ideas for moms. Send this post to your kids, husband, anyone that might be shopping for you. Another option: shop the whole list for yourself ladies… you deserve it!

These are 10 items that I have or would love to receive. A few are more creative than others and there’s a range of prices too. Bookmark this post and casually text the link before your birthday or Mother’s Day or visit it and shop when you feel like you need a little pick me up.

Moms are the hardest working people out there. It’s hard to make a gift guide for the women who do it ALL every DAY but I tried. Enjoy!

Gift Ideas for Moms

1. Vacation Gift Card

In many families the mom is the trip planner. Not all, but if mom is the travel agent in your house, this is a great gift idea. Get her a gift card that she can use to plan a trip. She can use it for a family trip, couples trip or even a getaway with girlfriends. A few idea: a Kid & Coe gift card for a family trip, Four Seasons gift card, Hotels.com and many more (you can find a lot of them on Amazon).

2. Silhouette Necklace

This is what I am asking for this year! Many years ago Tom got me a silhouette necklace for Christmas. It’s my favorite piece of jewelry he ever gave me. While I still wear it all the time, I feel bad it’s missing one silhouette! He got it for me before Teddy was born. I wanted something different and found The Beloved Silhouette Necklace from Holland and Birch. It’s super easy to order and there are a few different options. I can’t wait to see how mine comes out. Stay tuned for photos!

3. Embroidered Sweatshirt

These are all the rage right now and something personal and comfortable to give mom.

4. Dinner/ not cooking

Here’s a fun idea: get mom a pack of paper plates and a gift card for Uber Eats or somewhere you like for delivery. A night off of dinner is always fun!

5. New Bag

I always spot new bags I’d love to get but never buy for myself. With summer coming, it’s a great time to get Mom a new bag as a gift. There are so many options but pick something you know she’d love and use. A few current ideas:

You can’t go wrong with a MZ Wallace for Mom // This one that holds a hat is my summer fav // something monogrammed

6. New Earrings or Ring

Get Mom some new gold earrings , a ring or bracelet from Aurate. It’s my favorite new spot for jewelry. The quality is outstanding and everything comes so nicely packaged to gift. A few favorites: these diamond and gold earrings, this gold link bracelet and this ring that I now wear daily.

7. Paddle, Sneakers, Bag

Does mom like to play paddle or tennis? Grab a pair of new sneakers, paddle and monogrammed tote to put it all in:

Sneakers // Monogrammed Racket Tote // Pretty Pickleball Paddles

8. Pajamas and a “night off”

Give mom a comfy new pair of pajamas and include a card that says “use this card for a night off – no dishes, no homework and no bedtimes” 🙂

9. Create Your Own Tote

I got one of these last year and I love it so much. It’s the sweetest gift for a mom or grandmother. The Monogram Corner helps you through the process and really creates the most special tote you’ll ever see.

10. A Year of Self Care

Give mom a year of treats to take care of herself. This is just a suggestion, you can edit for her favorite places: Get a cute tote and inside put a card that says “take care of yourself at least 1 time a month”: 2 manicure gift cards, 2 pedicure gift cards, a massage gift card, a book, 2 gift cards to local lunch spots, tickets to a local event…

Moms love a sweet handmade craft. Whether it’s a teeny handprint or jewelry made by kids, it makes the day more special when there’s something handmade.  Add a cute DIY gift for mom too! These are fun to make in class to take home for Mother’s Day or for dad or a babysitter to make with the kids at home. Here are a few of our favorites:
